Being in the medical field, I realize the importance of exercise to maintain health. However, with an inpatient as well as office practice, I have little time for my own health. Training at The 6Levels gives me the opportunity to stay in shape physically with cardiovascular conditioning and strength training as well as core muscle stabilization and improved flexibility. In addition, I also learn practical self defense techniques in a safe and controlled environment. Being a smaller person, I am especially attracted to Jon Burke’s philosophy emphasizing self defense with good techniques over brawling using just brut strength. “With time, your strength will weaken, but learn good techniques and your skills will continue to improve.” With total confidence in the training program, I’ve enrolled my 6 year old daughter, Dan Thao, and plan to enroll my younger daughter, Ha Linh when she comes of age. This also allows me the opportunity to spend quality time with my kids while we try to keep in shape.
